A 4.5-acre farm in Lake Placid, with hundreds of persimmon trees and other fruit trees, bushes, and other plants. We are turning the farm into a permaculture food forest (a “food jungle” as we imagine it). We hold lectures and training on Permaculture methods and Natural/Organic (chemical free) farming techniques. We will be offering Permaculture Design Certificate courses and designing food forests and edible landscapes for clients. Another goal for our farm is to produce enough food to sell through CSA’s, at farmers' markets, and to restaurants. We will also host Farm to Table Dinners at the facility. Persimmony Snickets is open to visitors by appointment.
